Just because one company owns another means nothing these days, you still use 
the product or service you like and there are many examples where a company 
buys another with a similar product or service but still they are different 
enough so people prefer one over another or maybe they operate in different 
markets. Of course there are also cases where a company buys another which is 
extremely similar just so they can dominate a particular category or absorb the 
other company.

It’s great that GrubHub has gotten easier to use over time, less cluttered. 
Seamless owns them, so would you just be duplicating effort by getting the 
seamless app? 

Same with DoorDash: at different times I get emails saying I can use dash pass 
with caviar, but if I’m going to have access to the same places if I got 
caviar, what’s the point?
