Yeah the top right smallish round button , If you hold it down it powers off your tv,that's actual tv, not the apple tv, Below that in centre of top is the round touch sensitive direction button with ok / enter button in the middle of the doughnut, Note this has both the left right up and down direction arrow quadrants As well as flick or swipe to the sides / up & down touch pad as well.
I still haven't ben able to get fast forward and or skip working properly on it. Below the doughnut is On the right side, top round button is home, takes you bck to the tv folder on the home screen of the apple tv, Below that on the right is the volume up / down toggle this is what I would call obvious due to it's double size of the other smaller buttons. On the left side are three round buttons, The top left of the 3 is the back button, Or also you could call it voiceover button Because if you press it 3 times quickly voiceover turns on or off, Below that is the mute button, I don't know what it mutes but that is what it says when I press it, Below that the bottom of the 3 on the left is a search button, This brings up the search and keyboard on screen. Note that the layout is pretty much identical to the first gen siri remote, But there is no screen at the bottom and a doughnut for the touch pad, plus it's got directional arrows as well on the doughnut. Also the remote is thicker than the first gen, Slightly narrower and shorter in length, Plus on the right hand edge when you hold it, Is a long thin button kind of feels like an iPhones power button, This is the siri button, Hold it down and speak to siri and she should do what you request. And you have to continue to hold it while talking to her. There is meant to be a jog control but again this for me doesn't work and I've tried it with a number of different things but it's not currently working. Possibly some of these are tv OS 15 features to come. I know that's a very simple layout description but it's the quickist and simplist one I've got for you. -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] <[email protected]> On Behalf Of Larry Smith Sent: Thursday, 1 July 2021 3:48 am To: 'Chuck Dean' via VIPhone <[email protected]> Subject: Apple new remote button layout.
