That would be totally annoying to have to remove your iPhone from its case just to charge it. I've got an otterbox case for my iPhone 8. It cost me $40 and I somehow recently cracked it a little on the back part of the case, but I can just plug in my lightning to USBC cable and my iPhone charges very fast and with no issues.
