I decided to listen to a book early this morning while not sleeping ... and I
noticed that Voice Dream Reader was sounding really extra open and clear. I
got up from my chair with the phone sitting on the arm of the chair and the
sound moved around my head. I was kind of startled. As I turned my head or
walked around the sound moved across from right to left etc.
I told my wife about it later and was about to have her try it and it wasn't
doing it.

After checking the settings, I stumbled on the answer. This may have been
obvious to some but it wasn't to me and I don't recall reading it anywhere.

The headphones have to be very straight on your head. That is, have the part
that goes over your head going straight up from your ears. If it is slanted
back or forward on your head, it doesn't seem to work.

It also did this using BARDMobile.

I certainly don't need the moving around effect with an audio book that is just
straight reading, but the sound quality is very much improved to my ears. More
open and clear.

Later,

Richard
