Thanks to Sieghard for pointing out the lesser cost these days for the wireless pad than for the lightning adapter that allows charging while listening with wired earphones. My adapter is failing and only charging about half the time; so instead of spending $40 to replace it, I'm spending about $16 for a fast charging wireless pad. Amazon makes this stuff too easy.
