I decided to turn off voiceover and then tell Siri to load the LA Times app. I 
then turn voiceover back on. Everything is on the screen as it should be. So 
there is some kind of conflict going on with voiceover when the app loads on 
this phone. It doesn’t happen on the other one. Both phones are using the same 
voice, Alex as the default voice. Go figure!
