Hi Richard, Sounds pretty much like I had thought. As long as you brought it up, where do you turn off mentions? I guess if people like them, so be it. I see know reason to know who has mentioned me. Thanks much.

Of course, once the keyboard is up because you have double tapped on an edit field, you can also do the two finger double tap to start and stop dictation rather than having to find that button. The new contact or picture is just that, to add someone to your contacts or to update their contact if their information has changed or they have a new photo. One thing I went and turned off was the “mentions.” Which means you get told if you or someone in the conversation is mentioned … I don’t really need to know that myself. A week or so ago,I updated my phone to 14. One question that I have, is that I see dictate buttons all over the place. for example at the beginning of the conversation list in messages and the same in the native mail app. What are they for? Another question is, in messages when I open up a conversation, I am getting a button that says there is a new contact name or maybe it will be a new picture for this contact. Of course, not on all of them. I am sure it is just as it sounds, but what is this and what will that button do?
