Hi Wendy It can last up to a week before an update is rolling out to you but luckily you can speed up that process but I notice that you don't know how to do this. So go tot he screen of all your updates en just move with 3 fingers next toe each other from the middle tot he bottom of your screen and you will then refresh that piece of the app and many more updates will mostly show up and messenger is amongst them.
