The libre View app is the app that you will use to get your readings from the
freestyle Libre device. The app is accessible. The sensor has an NFC chip and
when you move the iPhone next to it, you will get the reading. Of course, you
need to launch the ap first. The reader has a visual display only, and is not
accessible. The reader has settings that allow you to set parameters to give
you warnings if your reading is high or low, and sighted assistance is neded to
set this up. But this would be something you would only do once. Remember that
the sensor will have to be replaced every 14 days. The reader will give you
warnings when it gets near time to replace it. I don't know if the app does
that, as my wife uses it and not me and she can see well enough to use the
reader, but I did put the app on her phone and used it a few times. I know
many blind people who are using the device and like it.
There is no need for you to cancel the order.

Andy

Subject: Free Style Lebra (sp) & iPhone

Thanks for letting me know that my message came through.

OK I know this has been discussed many times but I lost all my emails on my
primary account so am basically starting things all over.

My Endocrinologist is ordering the Free Style Lebra (sp). I hadn’t paid much
attention to previous threads as I didn’t think I could get any sensor.

I’m using the iPhone SE2020 and IOS 14.X.

What I would like to know is this app accessible with the iPhone? I think I
heard that the reader is not accessible for a blind person.

If the sensor and the phone are not accessible together, then I need to stop
the order.

Hoping it is accessible and that there might be instructions out there on its
use.

  Any thoughts are welcome.

  Thanks so much.

  Vivian and Sallie
