Hi Stacey, Here is what you can do with both the old earbuds and the new earpods:
A single press of the centre button (slightly resessed): Play/Pause music or whatever you are currently playing (Audible, Downcast etc.) If your phone rings this will answer/hang up the phone call, if a second call comes in while you are on the phone this will switch to the second call and back to the first if you press it again. If you are in the camera app it will take a picture or start/stop video recording. Press the top or bottom: Volume up or down Assuming you are in music, pressing the middle button twice quickly will skip to the next song. Press it 3 times quickly and it will go back to the beginning of the currently playing song or, if you paused playback, it will go back to the previous song. In Audible, for example, a quick double press will advance to the next Chapter, a quick triple press will go back a chapter. In Downcast you can go into the app settings and configure what you want the remote to do, e.g. you can set it up to skip 30 seconds or rewind 30 seconds. Once again, in music or most other audio playback apps, a double press and hold will fast forward within the song/chapter and a triple press and hold will fast rewind.
