According to an article in Apple Insider, the invites to the event will go out on September 7, and the event will be September 14.
I'm sure like every other Apple event it will be at 10 AM Pacific Time. We probably won't hear anything official from Apple until September 6 or 7. September 6 is the US Labor Day holiday, and Apple usually doesn't hold an event that next day, so the 14th makes pretty good sense to me.
