In the kindle app, once you open a book, if you double tap the screen, the kindle app will take you to the book menu. There at the bottom of the screen, the app will tell you what page you currently are on. at the top of the screen, if you double tap open navigation drawer you have various options for navigating through the book. First, you have the go to page option. There you can type in the page number you wish to go to go to then double tap go and you will be taken to that page or possibly the one immediately before it. There's also a move to location option, but I'm not sure how that works. Finally, you can move by chapter by double tapping the chapter or location you want in the table of contents. Each chapter label tells you what page it begins on.
