Hi Malcom, Somehow, you have Do Not Disturb turned on. At least, in my testing just now, since our landline is I my contacts, if Do Not Disturb is on, I hear the ringtone once, then it goes silent. If I turn off Do Not Disturb, it rings normally.
I hope that is the answer. Since updating to iOS15 on my iPhone 12 Pro Max I have noticed a strange issue when receiving a call. The tone I have set and the one I have used for years begins to sound, does so for around a second then is silent. On screen I have the usual options to answer the call, message and so-on. No matter what I select as a ringtone, the same behaviour persists, a second of tone is played then silent. In all other respects the phone behaves as expected, I can answer a call no problem. Unfortunately due to personal circumstances it is important that I do not miss a call yet I cannot resolve this issue. Any thoughts welcome.
