Sieghard, Yes, the Wifi-only models have the same capacity battery as the LTE versions.However, there is a slight difference in battery life between the 2, since Wifi doesn't require as much power as LTE. Keep in mind, though, that battery life can be tremendously impacted by what you're doing with the device at a given time.

However, turning on the screen curtain does not in fact turn off the display, it just blacks it out so this would indicate it does nothing for battery life since what does make a difference is how high you have set the screen brightness and screen brightness is apparently not changed by turning on the screen curtain. If you turn screen brightness to 0% this will in fact save you battery and make sure you have Auto Brightness turned off. A sighted person can still read the screen with brightness at 0%, but it's a lot harder.
