I'm not sure of the current pricing, you can check that on the app store. Be sure you check everything the description in the app store says and see if there is a button about in-app purchases at the end so you can read any details about options.
Third party keyboards are added by going to Settings, General, Keyboard, and at the top is a place that shows the number of keyboards, most people by default have 2, the standard onscreen keyboard and the emoji keyboard. Double tap there and there will be an add keyboard button. If you have an app installed that can function as an onscreen keyboard, double tap it. Then, if you want the new keyboard to have full access to the system, you double tap on its name after you have added it, and turn on permissions, which gives you a warning that the developer may be able to see what you write....
