I'm not finding this.
I opened your message and hit reply.
I turned the rotor to Edit and I had select, select all and that was it.

I tried opening a message to reply to in Messages, same thing.

Could you explain exactly where you have found this?

Perhaps you could also say what scanning apps you have installed in case it is 
grabbing one of those some how?

I'm using a 13 pro with iOS 15.0.2.

In apps where the Edit option is available in the Rotor, such as Messages, Mail 
and so-on there is a Scan Text option.  This takes text from the camera's view, 
OCR's it and inserts it into the text area of an app.

I have had mixed results with it and as I have not seen mention of this 
facility here I wondered if any of my friends here have used it and what 
results you've obtained.
