Malcolm, I'm not finding this. I opened your message and hit reply. I turned the rotor to Edit and I had select, select all and that was it.
I tried opening a message to reply to in Messages, same thing. Could you explain exactly where you have found this? Perhaps you could also say what scanning apps you have installed in case it is grabbing one of those some how? I'm using a 13 pro with iOS 15.0.2.
