My question is about which iPhone Sonos app to use. I seem to recall that the current Sonos 2 app was poorly reviewed when the switch occurred from Sonos 1. There still appear poor reviews on the internet for Sonos 2 and Voiceover. Are Voiceover users currently happy with the Sonos 2 app? If not happy then on what basis?

The Arc has an HDMI connection to the TV and I assume the Beam does as well, my original Sonos Playbar which does not support Dolby Atmos or any digital assistants but still has the 11 drivers like the Arc had an optical input so you would go from your TV's optical out to the soundbar. I actually have to still advertise my Sonos Playbar along with the set of Sonos Play 1 speakers and the first generation wireless Sub which I had for quite a few years before upgrading to the Arc with a set of Sonos SL and the latest generation wireless Sub. Just go to www.Sonos.com and you can check it there, both the Beam and Arc are soundbars, but Sono sis also a lot more as you can use the app to play just about anything on earth. I have never seen another company which supports as many music services both paid and free ones and the Sonos app is extremely accessible and the sound quality of all their speakers is fantastic. Bot the Beam and Arc also support Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant although you still can't have both digital assistants active at the same time.
