Yes, you can, whether the Apple Music subscription is worth the money it costs only you can decide, but I think you typically can get a trial and even if you pay from the start, you can always unsubscribe after a couple of month if you find you don't like it. Spaceil audio works with all stereo headsets, but you have to go to Settings > Music and turn on Dolby Atmos (that is what it is called in the app), I think by default it is on "Automatic" or something like that and this only works with Apple Airpods and maybe some of the Beats headsets, not sure about that. Keep in mind that at this point the selection of music which was recorded in Dolby Atmos or which was remastered is still pretty small.
