You call them through the app. It uses the back camera just like Be My Eyes. So you point the back camera at whatever you need help with. AIRA is a paid service after the free 5 minutes but you can read all about it in the app. Their people are trained and paid staff rather than volunteers like with Be My Eyes. HTH,
