Hello Everyone, I have been using YouTube TV for over 14 months, or so, and I absolutely love it.
I have it on all my Apple devices. And for those few networks which are currently not offered on YouTube TV, such as the science channel, I simply use that specific network’s app to get the content I want. What I like about YouTube TV is the fact that once you add a series / event / etc. to your library, all of the future content for that item is automatically saved in your own unlimited DVR area. In many cases, I have been able to go back into the past to watch episodes that were aired before I added the item to my Library. What I dislike most about YouTube TV is that, at the time of this post, you cannot remove a specific episode of a series from your library after having watched it. Not a huge problem but one, about which, many subscribers have complained, on the web. For me, I think it is more of a visual annoyance, than anything. What I like about YouTube TV? I love the fact that you can hide any networks that you do not watch from the channel line-up guide so that you do not have to scroll past a seemingly endless list of uninteresting channels. Also, you can re-arrange those channels that are visible. The entire process is completely VoiceOver accessible on all of the Apple platforms. One more thing, you only need to customize your channel guide on one device and it is automatically synchronized to all of your other devices. Now that I think about it, I like the fact that I can have up to 3 simultaneous streams and that, just like with Spectrum TV, I can setup 5 accounts with my one subscription. Actually, there is much more about YouTube TV that I like but I think you get the general idea. We also get unlimited cloud DVR, and it is completely accessible. As for the cost we pay $69.99 per month and our Internet is somewhere around $50 per month. I want to find a provider that is the most accessible from iOS and Windows. I have reflexively registered a seven day trial from fubotv.com or fubo.tv. I see all this discussion of shows and movies and just think I need to keep up with stuff. I know there have been many discussions related to tv and movie providers here. I largely ignored everything because I was convinced that I had no interest in paying for something I didn’t need. I can search the archives but things are changing so I want to get the latest perspectives. Yeah, Netflix is possible and I know I should probably just realize that it is something I should just accept and pay for. Please let me know if there is a service that is really great with regard to guide information, content selection, DVR, etc. I am a Verizon internet subscriber so would likely be easily persuaded to use them if an app/browser-based interface is good and I could get a discounted price compared to some of the other services. Ideally, I would like to get access to local tv, local tv from other localities, all cable channels, Netflix and other content creators, Amazon, etc. For example, anything I could get if I subscribed to “cable” tv. I am sending this prior to trying the fubo iOS app. I have only used the browser-based version with Chrome and Windows with JAWS. I would really appreciate constructive discussion or direction to information that is relevant to the current state of app/website accessibility. Thanks.
