Hi Simon, >From the Bose website:
Everyday stress. Snoring. Noisy neighbours. The news of the day. There’s plenty that keeps you awake. Introducing Sleepbuds™ II. Tiny and comfortable, Sleepbuds™ work with the Bose Sleep app to deliver relaxing sounds to help you fall asleep, and use Bose noise masking technology so you stay asleep all night. Unlike headphones, Sleepbuds™ don’t stream music or podcasts. They play content only from the Bose Sleep app. It goes on to mention that there is a whopping 50 sounds to choose from and all for the low price of $329 Canadian so I assume in NZ you'll pay $400 or more for these little babies. Of course you can also order sleep phones from Amazon for around $25 or so, these are basically a headband with very flat speakers in between two layers of fabric and again between the layers of fabric on your forehead you have a small square thing which includes the battery and 3 buttons for Play/Pause (in the middle) and then Skip/Volume Up and Rewind/Volume down on either side. Then you can play the same sleep noises if you like for free and at least you can also listen to music or an audio book. I tried all sorts of stuff before getting them and find them the most comfortable solution. I can still sleep on my side with my ear against the pillow and it doesn't feel uncomfortable because the speakers are relatively large and as I said, very flat so the pressure spreads out and it feels fine. I have a really hard time with the prices companies like Apple, Bose and others charge for things with batteries which I know have a limited life span and the only headset I would spend $500 or a similar price on would be when Sonos releases a Hi-Fi headset which acts as an independent player and which I therefore can group with any other player in my Sonos system and which gives me access to anything from music and audio books to listening to my TV. -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] <[email protected]> On Behalf Of Simon A Fogarty Sent: November 7, 2021 1:44 PM To: [email protected] Subject: RE: Accessibility of Bose Sleep App Hi Robert, Do you have to use the sleep app for these or can you use the bose music app like you have to with the other bose products? But thanks for the heads up on the sleep buds. -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] <[email protected]> On Behalf Of Robert Carter Sent: Monday, 8 November 2021 3:02 am To: [email protected] Subject: Accessibility of Bose Sleep App Hi, Today only, Bose has the new Sleep Buds for 50 dollars off. When I checked into these a few years ago, the iPhone Bose Sleep App was totally unusable with VoiceOver. Does anybody know if this app is now accessible?
