Duane, The Dropbox link that is pasted in an email when you are sharing a download link with another is created by a Dropbox algorithm and the default 0 at the end of that link has nothing to do with the filename. You still have to edit the link in your email and change the 0 to a 1 to change the executable action from playing the file to prompting you to save the file.
When I'm sharing a Dropbox file, I don't bother using Notepad to alter the 0 to a 1. I simply copy the Dropbox link and paste it into my Outlook email and edited it in Outlook before sending the message. One more thought, however. If you changed that zero to one in the file itself, would it do the same thing without having to cut and paste it back and forth? Just wondering. After all, you can edit and rename the file in Dropbox, anyway. Again, thanks for the info. I hope it helps Steve with his sharing of meetings with colleagues/coworkers.
