A lot of places now have the option of ordering something online with in store pickup. A lot of them even will bring it out to you. And you mean that as high tech as Apple is, Apple does not have this option? If not, I am disappointed! You should have been able to check the inventory of a particular store, then order it online and know it would be waiting for you when you got there. The only problem I have with this method of doing business with any store is what happens if you get there, look at it, and decide you don't want it? Hopefully, the order can be canceled right away.
