At present, I use my 3GS only for wifi, no cell service. However, I am at least considering getting some sort of cell service with minimal data included. My only reason for considering this is so I can use one or more GPS apps such as Ariadne. What I am attempting to ascertain is a realistic estimate of data usage for Ariadne and similar GPS apps after maps have been downloaded. Obviously, it doesn't make sense to purchase data until one has some idea of how much data he needs. So if someone can provide a few basics, I would be most grateful. I really do not plan to use data for anything other than map downloads where necessary. Incidentally, the IOS version is 6.0, and I am planning to upgrade to 6.1. Thanks for feedback.
