Have you tried cleaning the case? I mean by making sure nothing has got down in 
the case where they connect magnetically? I have had this happen before, and i 
had to make sure that no ear wax or dirt had made it down there. If you are 
totally sure that that is not the case, then I would make a quick call to Apple 
to see if they can help you. If you purchased Apple Care with them, you should 
have no problems getting them serviced or even replaced. Those are just my 
thoughts?
