Alan, do follow Dennis's suggestion to elimninate the currency reference you dislike, but I suggest the voiceOver techs at Apple were not as unthinking as you say. I am in Canada and invest in local and U.S. stocks. Some of those stocks are interlisted in Canada and on the NYSE or Nasdaq, and their dollar values differ because of the different currency values. So it's sometimes good to know that the quote I am getting is in U.S. dollars to avoid the heart attack of thinking my Canadian dollar stock has fallen so precipitously in value. And it's comforting to know that Apple thinks outside the U.S. for its customers.
