This happened to me the other day. Fortunately I was able to reach her by
phone.

Tonight this happened with me for the first time, the call courier or
message buttons were there, but when double tapping to send a message, the
edit field didn’t show up and send button was dimmed; there was no way I
could figure to make it so that I could write for leaving a message. I
communicated twice with Uber support by hijacking one of their other items
since there was no other way to do it, and they said about logging out,
restarting the device, reinstalling the app, etc., which I did, but their
advice about network settings, etc. I don’t think should impact on whether
the edit box shows up or not . Thanks if anyone knows anything about this.
