BlindShell do some most basic phones as well as real-button feature phones.
haven't got their url, but easy to search for.

Those are the ones I adopted. Not flip mind, candibar; but plenty good.

Can't imagine a 3-button phone at all, Guess that is a U.s thing.

Subject: Recommendations for a very simple cell phone

In my work at a California independent living center a consumer asked me for
cell phone suggestions. She is totally blind with no one regularly available
to assist her with using the phone. I'm just not up on this category of
phones as I personally use an iPhone with VoiceOver. Here are her wishes:

1. Will only use it occasionally.
2. Prefers a flip phone
3. Fairly tactile buttons, raised & larger buttons would be best;
having audio confirmation when a button is pressed would be wonderful.
4. If there are menus, she would prefer a simple way of getting out of
them; there was a previous phone she used that she could never figure out
how to close or back out of the menus.
5. She won't be texting, doesn't need a phone number or contact list,
never will use the internet, etc.

I mentioned the simple 3-button Jitter Bug phone to her and that might be
her best solution, although she would like to not have a monthly plan.

So, any suggestions on meeting such a tall order for simplicity in a cell
phone?

Thanks,

Jeff
