Hi,
Yes you can use the app to speak to someone outside though sometimes it
takes a few more seconds than I'd like to open the app and get to the
right button. But I also wanted to mention that if you had an Amazon
Echo you can use newer models to say wake word answer front door or
wherever you have your bell set up and speak through it as well. Some
find this method quicker if at home. When done you can say wake word end
call and there you are.
