I could hear VoiceOver when using my headphones but once I took my headphones out, everything went Silent. The solution turned out to be really simple, however, just turn up volume on the phone! I don't understand why it was ok with the headphones but not the speaker, and I don't know how it happened, but at least the problem is solved!g
