Second, I applaud you for having the courage to post your question on-list. So many blind and low-vision people are seeking companionship but find it difficult to address the matter, directly; this has certainly been my experience. Now, to answer your question: While the Match.com and POF iOS apps are reasonably accessible for a low-vision user, I would hesitate to recommend them to a totally blind person. You may find that the web interfaces are much more accessible. This is to say you can open Safari (or your preferred browser) and visit the websites. Although I have not used it personally, Facebook has launched a new free dating service that is reported to be quite good. According to the articles I've read, the demographics seem to lean towards singles who are 40+, 50+ and older which, based on your posted info, should be just fine for you. Again, I have not used this new service but if you are familiar with Facebook, then you're halfway there to setting up your dating profile. The service can only be accessed via the Facebook app; it is not available on the web, at least, not yet. Again, it's called Facebook Dating. Give it a try and let us knowhow it goes.
