Try the following: 1. position yourself on the app you want to delete and swipe down with one finger to, Edit, and do a single finger double tap, and you should hear, started editing.
2. Swipe down with one finger to, Delete, and do a single finger double tap, and you should hear, Remove... Now swipe right to, Delete app, and do a single finger double tap.
