I just got my 13 pro max a few days ago. Not having the home button isn't any big deal. A great tip someone shared with me, to easily get to the home screen with the nonhome button phones, is to put your thumb on the USB lightning port of your phone, then move your wright index finger up. This will help you immensely in getting to both your home screen and your app switcher.
