My iPhone is a few months older than yours and I just had the battery replaced. I had to call Apple tech support and have them run some diagnostics then they made an appointment for me at a nearby apple store to have the battery replaced. It cost something like $49 and now my battery life is much better. I did this because I was pretty sure I was not going to get a new phone this year and I'm glad I did. Hoping I can get another two years out of this phone.
