Voice Dream Reader had an update that came out last Saturday morning or thereabouts in preparation for iOS 16. This update contained a bug that caused the app to shut down whenever you opened any title in your VDR library for reading. This bug was reported to Winston Chen the developer and a corrected update was released in the App Store later the same day.
The above bug sounds different than the one reported by Mary on behalf of her friend at the beginning of this threat. His issue seemed to be related to ePub files in VDR. Hopefully, Voice Dream Support will be able to help him.
