Now I have the original SE but this photo finding problem has been the same since my iPhone 4 of 15 years ago. Perhaps I can explain it this way: the phone reads the album names, but when I flick right it stays where it is on the album name. If I Open the album by double tapping, and then move my finger down, on The screen, or swipe right, it just jumps down to the menu bar on the bottom. I can play on with the screen and find a picture or two but it does not behave in the usual voiceover manner of swipe right to the next object etc.
