A few thoughts on this topic. 1. Are you dictating with earphones? If not, if VoiceOver reads what you said, it could be entered twice.
2. Remember, most, if not all, dictation is now done directly on your phone, no internet servers, which to me also means, far less power to get things right. 3. speaking slower than normal seems to greatly improve accuracy.
