Interesting about update being corrupted. I had an old, candy bar phone that got corrupted, and that is when I bought my iPhone SE from Consumer Cellular for $150 in May of 2018. Their Customer Services people worked with me for an hour to get that phone working, but finally said, that it must be corrupted.
