Since IOS 16.1, the 2-finger double tap to stop dictation frequently starts music. I eventually can stop the music via Hey Siri, but it usually requires multiple attempts…possibly because Siri can’t hear me over the music. I have reported the problem, and am hoping it will be soon fixed. Wondering if it’s just me. I often dictate using the dictate button to the left on the keyboard. I realize that I can one finger double tap to stop dictation, assuming that focus hasn’t moved from that button, but it seems to me that I’ve been using a two-finger double tap for years. As of late, doing this gesture out of muscle memory often starts the music player on my phone. Even if I do another two finger double tap to stop the music, I’m still in dictation mode. I found it easiest to open the ap switcher and go back to the app, which disrupted dictation for me. So, does anyone else use a two-finger double tap to stop dictation and notice this as a change? Either that, or my latest birthday has send my brain into some weird memory void. For now, I’m trying to retrain myself to the one finger double tap.
