there is two cancel buttons, but that is because one of them is labeled incorrectly.  You want the button at the very bottom.  So swipe all the way down and double tap that cancel button.  It is actually a next button, but like I said, it is labeled incorrectly. A confirmation screen will pop up, just double tap on pair.
