You have to reset it just like your iPhone because otherwise if you are signed in then whoever you give it to could theoretically use it to order stuff from Amazon if you have that enabled. You do this in the Alexa app on your iPhone, when I just Googled it the exact steps came up: Featured snippet from the web How to reset your Amazon Echo to its factory settings using the Alexa app 1. Go to Devices. 2. Tap the Echo & Alexa icon at the top. 3. Select the speaker you want to factory reset. 4. Scroll down and tap Factory Reset. 5. Confirm the factory reset.
