It will be there until it's not just like 3D touch and while I used 3D touch I also don't miss it. Who knows what Apple will do and I think until next September it is not such a big deal for most since people who upgraded to a 14 Pro or Pro Max are surely in the minority compared to those who still have iPhone 13's, 12's, 11's and even lower. The rumour is that with the iPhone 15 the dynamic island will be on all iPhone 15 models not just the Pro/Ultra as they expect one of the iPhone 15 will be called and at that point it will certainly become more relevant as people who are on older phones will upgrade to them or the iPhone 14 Pro/Pro Max.
