Yes, for the past 15 months, the IOS operating system has transformed Do Not Disturb into a more flexible system called focus.
You can have up to 10 focus types. Focus can be enabled when a program starts, at a specific time or location, or manually. For each focus you can specify what apps can or cannot interrupt you and you can also add a group of contacts that are blocked or unblocked. In IOS 16 also added functionality that hides some items in apps like Mail and Messages. I have a “reading” focus group that starts when I am in the books app or bard and that blocks calls from people not in my contacts, and only allows three or four application to sent me notifications.
