Just as an FYI, but on my Sonos Roam, I can run Alexa and the Sonos Assistant
at the same time. If I were to use Google Assistant then that would be the only
assistant I could have running.

You can, first of all the Five is the only speaker which doesn't have
microphones, their 3 soundbars all do as does the Sonos One, Move and Roam (the
latter two are their rechargeable, portable speakers). As somebody else pointed
out, there is a Sonos One SL as well as versions of the soundbars which don't
have microphones. As for the Five, all you would have to do is put an Echo Dot
in the same room as your Five or stereo pair of Fives and then set up the Sonos
Five as the default speaker in the Alexa app and it is basically like having
Alexa on the speaker, of course you would not get the Sonos voice assistant,
but it primarily shines for Sonos related stuff like asking it to group
speakers and so on.

I can't wait to find out what the Era 100 and 300 have to offer and there are
rumours that a larger Era 500 will follow later, but of course nobody really
knows whereas the 100 and 300 are confirmed and most likely will be announced
shortly as is the second generation Move. The Move by the way is an amazing
speaker, I think it is relatively close to the Five in sound quality and it
does have microphones.

Later this year the first of the 4 new categeories Sonos said they wil l enter
will be announced and I sure hope it will finally be a headset although it is
expected that another of these categories will be car audio. Sonos is
definitely still king whenb it comes to multi-room audio with their broad
offering of speakers from the small and larger portable (Roam and Move) to the
Sonos One and Sonos Five, the 3 sound bars (Ray, Beam and Arc) and the Sonos
wireless Sub and Sub Mini. Lastly there is the Amp which can connect either to
traditional bookshelf, tower or architectural speakers (in-wall and in-ceiling)
and the Sonos Port which doesn't get as much hipe, but it's a great device if
you have a very good existing stereo system or surround system and you want to
add it into the Sonos eco system. Combine all that with a huge selection of
online music services you can connect to in the Sonos app, Airplay 2 support
and Bluetooth streaming (for now only possible to the Roam and Move, but
expected to potentially be on the new Era speakers) and you have an incredibly
versatile system. I even read an article about a new receiver (I think it might
have been Yahama, but could have been a different brand) which has some sort of
Sonos integration built into the amp.

I heard a Charge five and the sound was awesome! Unfortunately, it did not have
Alexa integration. I decided to go for a Marshall Alexa powered speaker with
Blue Tooth. For those using sonos, do you wish you could use it with Alexa?
