I also gett this when I text my wife, but I always forget to ask a sighted person. Anyways, if it did update the picture without you as a blind person noticing then one would expect the message would be gone after you tap o nit, but it is not.

I am told I could activate it, and I figure that by double-tapping with one finger, it will either update or give me the choice to update. Nothing really happens when I do that.
