As Kelly said, the device in this case shouldn't matter although it really helps if people at least say whether they use an iPhone or an iPad and, if it is an iPad, whether it has cellular capabilities and a SIM card or not. But the rebooting of iPad and router as well as doing a reset network setting still applies, there has to be an issue with his network or the connection to it on some level.
