Yes. Go to settings/camera/formats and select most compatible. This
will save photos in .jpg format.  This will be a format that is
compatible with everything.  Be sure to go to preserve settings so
this selection is permanent rather than resetting with each use.
Similarly, turn off live photos in the camera app and be sure in
preserve settings in camera that live photos are not reset to always
be on.
