I disagree, I don’t think it’s disgusting that they are introducing new technology for reading books. Having a human narrator is extremely time consuming! I listen to books from Bookshare which are not available in any other source and I use the speech on my phone to listen to them. When I really get into a book I move past the sound of the voice and just absorb the Contant.
