Especially if I have to make a longer call or know I have to make multiple calls I very much prefer to use the good old wired Apple Earpods. You can hear well, you can use Voiceover and don't have to worry about the phone switching between speakerphone and earpiece. Also, if you use a headset like that, switchingt calls if somebody else calls you is as simple as pressing the middle button of the in-line remote which is Play/Pause and Answer/Hang-Up for a call. You just have to be quick if you ask the first caller to hold and you press the remote to talk to the second caller and then you are done and want to switch back to the first caller. If the second caller hangs up before you the call may have already switched back automatically and then pressing the button will also hang up on the first caller.

I was able to duplicate the behavior during a call. I made the call holding the phone in front of me and I did not lose Voiceover. But when I held the phone close to my ear, I lost it.
