I use an app called Fantastical. The developer has made it very accessible
with VoiceOver and it handles events quite well. Also, it includes any
reminders you create and integrates them into the calendar. Apple treats
calendar events and reminders as two different things even if reminders
have due dates on them. You do have to pay a subscription to use
Fantastical but I've found it to be worth that cost. Apple's own calendar
isn't terrible either but I've come to appreciate how good Fantastical is
at understanding even really complex events just by you typing in a
sentence like you were explaining the event to someone. I think it still
does a better job at that than Siri does.
